Strategy Development
Is your organisation providing its product or service in
line with the requirements of your organisation's
charter or mission statement?
Every organisation needs to audit its procedures in
practice over time, to ensure that these are being
applied consistently and effectively.
For example, are there basic policies and procedures
which govern how your organisation provides services to
the public or the community? Are you sure that these
policies and procedures are being followed? Is there a
chance that these policies and procedures are being
ignored, or have been replaced by 'custom and practice'
at the local level?
A program audit will identify what it is that your
organisation means to be doing in a particular area, for
example, providing a particular type of service, and
what is actually happening 'on the ground'. It will also
make recommendations which will make better use of your
organisation's services and very often, improve the
delivery of those services to your clients. |
